Step by Step Guide!

  1. Place Your Portafilter on a Scale

When brewing espresso, measurements are important for a balanced flavor of coffee! for example, at 787 coffee we use 17.5 grams of coffee for a double shot of espresso, so all of its flavors can be extracted evenly

2. Purge Your group head with hot water.

3. Grind your coffee beans

Remember coffee tastes more delicious and fresh when it's grinded at the moment. Adjust your grinder for a fine grind to have a balanced shot

4. Distribute coffee properly

Use your finger to distribute your coffee into your portafilter, side to side!

5. Tamp your Coffee

Place your portafilter on a flat surface, grab your tamper, and apply pressure to the coffee. You don’t have to tap hard just enough so the coffee grounds are even, we recommend you do a small spin so you can make sure your coffee is smooth and even for an even extraction!

6. place your portafilter in your groundhead

Let the magic begin! In about 30 seconds your espresso will be ready with a delicious crema.
