How to Make a Pour Over Coffee

In this 787 Coffee Brew Guide, we will show you the amazing way to make pour over coffee.


Gather Your Materials:

To make a Pour Over at home, you will need the following materials:

  • Digital scale

  • Grinder

  • Filter

  • V-60 Dipper

  • gooseneck kettle



  1. Grind Your Coffee Beans

For a Pour Over, you will need a medium-fine grind. This will help you extract all of the coffee flavor making it easy for the water to travel through the coffee

2. Heat Your Filtered Water

Heat-filtered water in an electric gooseneck Kettle, to 203 to 205 degrees. It’s important to use filtered water because the type of water we use can change the flavor of our coffee.

3. Prepare Your Decanter & V-60

When you have finished heating your water it will be time to prepare everything to make your delicious coffee. Place your decanter on the coffee scale, and place the V-60 with a filter on the decanter. Rinse it with hot water to extract any filter taste

4. Prepare your Grinds

Place your coffee beans in the V-60 tapping the sides to level the coffee

5. Begin to Brew!

For this process, take it step by step, pouring slowly. Begin at the center in circular motions until you reach 50 grams for 40 seconds. For the second pour, repeat the process for another 40 seconds until it reaches 120 grams. The third pour should last 1 minute and 20 seconds, and stop when you reach 190 grams. The final pour should take 2 minutes to reach 248 grams.

6. Enjoy!
